Following the urban planning regulations of the borough of Plateau-Mont-Royal the following research was undertaken to recover the memory of the place:

1. Determining, using historic documents, which could be the characteristic elements of the building from its original period of construction.

2. Attempt to find traces on the building that could bear witness to the characteristics of the original components.

​

3. Identification of comparable buildings in the neighborhood which have original elements.
