Irina is the senior principal architect, directing ION architecture studio. 

Irina has 18 years of experience, in Quebec and internationally.  She is the recipient of a Governor General of Canada medal for her secondary studies and a Medal for Excellence for her university studies at the McGill School of Architecture.

Passionate about art, theatre and history, Irina apprenticed with architects Manon Asselin, Paul Laurendeau and Louis Brillant and during the early part of her career contributed to the design of two theatre projects in Quebec and numerous heritage building restoration projects.

From 2008-2016 she worked alongside some of the best architects in the world at the office of Foster + Partners.  As an architect she contributed to the design of Masdar - an experimental and sustainable city, and to the Bund Finance Center, its pedestrian streets, its commercial facades and its theatre.  As an associate, she contributed to the design of the artists' district in Dubai and was responsible for the design development of the Creative Community work modules and a proposal for an Art Hotel and Convention/Exhibition Centre.

Having worked in different countries Irina brings a multicultural vision to her practice.
